Actually, Benjamin Franklin never said these things. No one has ever been able to find these quoted phrases in any of his writings. Nor has anyone been able to find him being quoted these phrases by any of his contemporaries. Furthermore the word 'lunch' didn't appear in common English until the 1820s.
